"Just got back, Great place to stay, the location is really good. It’s a very quiet and relaxing resort. Kids are allowed but still feels like acults only. The infrastructure, rooms especially could use some updates, had some issues in our room I’m not one to complain but had to bring it up to staff, and Elvira was excellent made sure we were happy, (the owners of the resort are very lucky to have staff like this) At the end of the day some of the rooms maybe not in great condition, however with my experience the location next to the beach, all the lounges and grounds on the resort are great and the awesome workers are what are ultimately holding this place to be a top resort, despite some infrastructure issues. "

"The food was really good, and even though reservations to restaurants seemed booked at the start, there were plenty of cancellations and we were able to get reservations at the times and restaurants of our choice almost every time. The a la carte option was always great, though, so you don’t even need to worry about reservations. The pool activities were super fun and we loved playing beach volleyball with other guests. Our favorites were The Good Bar, the health juice bar, the crepes at the main buffet, the spa, the dolphins, the snorkeling, and general safe and beautiful ambiance. We had a great stay and we’re sad to leave. Ricardo, one of the bellhops, hooked us up with a rental car so we could explore Akumal Beach, Playa del Carmen, and other spots on our own. So much to do at the resort though, so no real need to leave. Would definitely recommend with or without kids. "

"Classic old school beach front hotel. Amazing location, family run. Tony and his team offer lovely service. Warm family feel with the staff. Room service was great for all meals breakfast, lunch and dinner. Salsa picante a must with eggs. Dont expect a brand new hotel...but its small and wonderful and perfectly vintage. "

"The property and hotel staff were truly excellent - it was easily the best resort we've ever stayed at. Special thank you to Estefany in the customer service department for their assistance when Expedia lied to us and refused to assistance with a booking problem. We did have one negative experience with the airport-hotel transfer; the hotel recommended a taxi service that frauded our credit card. I don't necessarily blame them for that company's actions, but I do think it should be noted as guest safety should be #1."
