We spent four nights at the hotel, it was an excellent base from which to explore Salisbury and the surrounding area. The room was a good size with a door out to a small patio area with chairs. The staff we met were very helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the scrambled eggs for breakfast were amazing- perfectly cooked and served. The hotel is close to the historic heart of Salisbury and yet near to the more modern part of the town. ...
Excellent hotel that also caters for people with pets. I travelled with my dog, and she was catered well. Allowed to come into the Bar/ Resturant with us. Good pub food was served. Resonablely priced. If I am in this area again. I will definitely go back. Brilliant place to stay.
Well thought out and easy to get to, this B&B was perfect for our 'countryside' jaunt to see Stonehenge and the surrounding area in Salisbury. Clean and tidy, friendly staff, and generous breakfast. I would recommend this place to anyone.
The south-west of England is known for its idyllic natural beauty, welcoming towns and easy-going pace of life, and Wiltshire is no exception. The picturesque countryside and bustling market towns provide the ideal location for a laid-back, luxury break. For those keen to get out and explore the county, there are a number of historic gems to be found. From Salisbury Cathedral to the enchanting Stonehenge, there's plenty to keep visitors entertained. To complete the package, Wiltshire is home to an impressive array of divine four star hotels.
For those whose idea of a perfect United Kingdom holiday entails little more than relaxation and indulgence, Wiltshire offers a wealth of bewitching spa hotels.
Bowood Hotel and Spa is among the most popular spa retreats in the county, due largely to its exclusive on-site golf course. Relax after a challenging round in the sauna, Jacuzzi, or even at the Spa Bar.
The Bishopstrow Hotel and Spa may not have a golf course, but it does have a state of the art spa. Treatments at the Bishopstrow range from the unique monsoon shower to Rasul mud therapy.
Of course, your four star hotel doesn't have to have a fully-equipped spa to impress. Many guests are more concerned that a good quality swimming pool is available, whether that's indoors or a heated outdoor pool. Whether you're keen to relax in the pool after a busy day, or choose to keep in shape by swimming a few lengths each morning, a good pool can make all the difference to a memorable stay.
The Village Hotel Swindon boasts a delightful indoor pool, while the picturesque Beechfield House Hotel features an outdoor pool, ideal for the summer months.
The south-west of England is packed with decadent stately homes and country houses. While they're great fun to visit - and often fascinating to learn about - there's nothing quite like staying in an opulent pad yourself. Fortunately, many four star hotels in Wiltshire are set within beautiful period buildings, giving guests the chance to do exactly that.
The Castle Inn in Bradford-upon-Avon is housed in a spectacular stone building on the northern edge of town. The accommodation adjoins the pub and restaurant, which serves exquisite food all through the year.
Rollestone Manor is set within a large and beautiful Georgian family home, surrounded by peaceful gardens. The rural located is equally ideal for families and couples looking for somewhere tranquil to get away from it all.
Salisbury is the only city in Wiltshire and, as such, is one of the most visited places. The historic streets are lined with period buildings, and there are plenty of exciting attractions to suit all tastes. The city's also filled with classy four star hotels. The Chapter House offers a charming period building, while the Mercure White Hart provides a picturesque setting not far from the city centre.
The highlight of the city centre is undoubtedly Salisbury Cathedral. And just eight miles from the city is Stonehenge - a world famous site that's always worth the short drive.
