Great hotel and they are definitely doing their best to accommodate everyone's requirements during the pandemic.
Room was nice and secondary double-glazing shut out most of the noise from the road junction outside. However, it could not shut out the bell in the clock tower opposite which chimed the hours plus the quarter hours ALL NIGHT. Come on, Calne Town Council, surely not everyone needs to know the time at 3AM!
Other than that, there were nice little touches - although they couldn't serve breakfast, they left a little bag with freshly-baked croissants and pains au chocolat outside the bedroom door in the morning.
A number of the rooms are undergoing refurbishment at present. Didn't cause any problems, just the occasional smell of paint.
