Apartment 4 Only downside - there was over 70+ stairs to climb but don't let this put you off, you only have to climb them once a day if you spend the full day out and about. "A nice place in a great location just a 5 minute walk from Grosmont Station. Its not a modern hotel, and rooms are not soundproofed so you can expect to overhear other guests coming and going. The showers are difficult to set to the right heat and are affected by other people using water. A bit of modernisation would help. Decor in room dated and could do with refreshing but otherwise, a nice friendly place to spend a few nights. "

"Very welcoming- a lovely pleasant room. The bed was comfortable. We brought our own double sheet as we knew there would be a winter duvet in a heat wave!! The view from the window over the garden and Bagdale was good. We could have done with more loo roll and there was no coffee machine, but we would definitely stay there again."

"A fabulous place to stay to explore Whitby, explore the area and coastal walks. Facilities clean and tidy, great on-site cafe and the local town is walkable, albeit uphill on the return. And superb views of Whitby Abbey on the YHA doorstep. "
