"We stayed one night in order to visit Talliston House in Great Dunmow. We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely and warm, cosy and had everything we needed. We appreciated the milk, beverages and cookies. Everything was clean, the beds were lovely and it was a very quiet area. The gardens looked lovely, but weather did not allow us to fully explore. The cooked breakfast was a lovely start to the day. Faultless stay. "

"Not bad. Property is used by locals as a wedding venue so there were many visitors joining to discuss this. Lunch area gets packed. Menu of food was good on Wednesday. On the first day of the week, its usually basic (fish and chips, pie etc). Rooms were spacious. Bit dated but add to the Tudor charm."

"The property itself was okay. There were empty alcohol bottles in the hallway and stains on the carpet of my room. The main issue was how rude their airport transfer staff was. I wish I grabbed his name. But an overweight middle aged man literally yelled at me in front of other passengers. I had a freshly purchased coffee and about 5 minutes until the van departure. The drive mentioned I could not bring the coffee along (so I assumed he meant when the vehicle was moving - a high-risk...

"Really lovely looking hotel inside. The decor is really inviting. Chic and cool and a bit quirky. Absolutely love it. The bar restaurant is very roomy as well. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The manager or owner even offered to carry my heavy bag out to the taxi after storing it for me after checkout. "I stayed for one night on my own prior to an early flight. Superb in every way, I felt safe, lots of solo travellers, big comfortable clean room. Only a couple of hundred metres to the airport terminal and a 14 metre wine tower. I would definitely stay again! "

"This hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Chlemsford and it is only a short walk to the mainline train station, which has excellent and frequent Greater Anglia train services to London. The hotel staff, especially the reception ladies, are very friendly and pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet has now been replaced by a freshly cooked to order offering, for which you need to allow extra time. My only gribble was the breakfast coffee was tepid."
