"We stayed one night in order to visit Talliston House in Great Dunmow. We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely and warm, cosy and had everything we needed. We appreciated the milk, beverages and cookies. Everything was clean, the beds were lovely and it was a very quiet area. The gardens looked lovely, but weather did not allow us to fully explore. The cooked breakfast was a lovely start to the day. Faultless stay. "

"Property looked amazing until taking a closer look especially the bathroom, the bath had not been cleaned properly and had hairs in it and there was mould on the ceiling. Could do with a heated mirror or better extraction as the mirror took ages to clear after showering. The staff at the cafe were all helpful and the food was excellent."

"The staff and food at dinner were lovely. Breakfast wasn’t run at quite the same standard with a lot of mistakes and delays on orders. The room was nice, although the finer details could do with a bit more attention (dust in corners, dirty grout in bathroom). Bed nice and comfy, unfortunately we were near the road so a bit noisy but that can’t be helped. "Why do hotel designers think it is OK to have an ensuite bathroom with no door? A curtain is not an adequate replacement for a door. This was a big issue for us. Also the only seating in our room was 1 dining chair and 1 stool when there was room for something more comfortable. I don't want to have to sit on the bed, particularly at the price this hotel came in at. Everything else was very good."

"Really lovely looking hotel inside. The decor is really inviting. Chic and cool and a bit quirky. Absolutely love it. The bar restaurant is very roomy as well. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The manager or owner even offered to carry my heavy bag out to the taxi after storing it for me after checkout. "The hotel very kindly upgraded me for free when I arrived and the room was excellent, spacious and comfy. The buffet breakfast is reasonably priced and adequate. The close proximity to the terminal , and ease of access for parking make this an ideal gateway for those travelling to and from Stansted Airport"
