"The room is clean, quiet and comfortable. We couple have to thank to the great service of Ollie, who had solved the problems promptly and patiently with us. It is of a very great value, with plenty of parking areas. It is very convenient to travel to city center, with choices of buses nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here. Must come again to this hotel if visiting Reading again. "

"There were stains on the bedspread provided. No towels were provided even upon request with the excuse that none had been delivered. No heat in room provided and it wasn’t rectified despite my complaints. No hot water in bath and when I wanted to leave and book another hotel I was told no one could assist me. I had booked 2 nights but I had to leave after 1 night because we just couldn’t take it anymore. I had to look for and book another hotel."

"The staff and manage were excellent I am gluten free and every time they brought a meal they explained that everthing was gluten free "

"Arriving after 10pm greeted by friendly owner who advised of local fat boys cafe for breakfast which was indeed exvellent and good value. Room basic but comfortable and decent for a 1 night aray"

"Perfect stay for a quick stopover. Conveniently located, simple room but really comfy beds and decent bathroom. Room was a little too warm but overall good stay. Receptionist was really friendly and helpful. Great value. "

"We stayed for two nights in one of the recently refurbished rooms. Very clean and had everything you would need. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had breakfast both mornings and couldn’t fault it. There is parking, but it is limited. Our friends stayed in the older part of the hotel and said whilst there rooms was dated, it was very comfortable and clean.We would definitely stay here again."

"Let down by an air BnB option so needed an alternative. The corridor and stairs area prior to the room needs some TLC. My room looked out onto a roof area that needs tidying up. Old paint cans etc. However, my room was clean. Everything worked. Nice shower room. Comfortable bed. TV was good. Some noise from downstairs but didn’t stop me sleeping. Overall good value stay if you’re away on business. "

"Very comfortable stay. Room for 4 was very clean and comfortable. Nice friendly atmosphere in the pub. Staff very friendly. Reasonably priced. Menu is limited to burgers. However, the burgers are excellent!! Breakfast was lovely and half pricer if staying over."

"Very nice and cozy bedroom at the top floor of the building. everything was clean and cozy! Surrounding area does not allow you to park. Check out: no instruction on where to leave the keys... Overall, I would very recommend it!"

"Stayed here for convenience for visiting friends, not really accessible for a car, carpark across the street, lots of smokers right at the entrance way when we checked in. Wifi for half hour, cheap!!! Best part was the staff was friendly. "

"We had a lovely time here with our 2 year old for two nights. We stayed in the Bluebell Pod which was so cosy and comfortable. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed the woods and the animals. Many thanks. Hope to come again next year! "
