Looking at returning again next year, we won't leave it another near decade until next time, 10/10! "

The most popular time to visit Llanarthney is during the summer months, particularly July, when the countryside is in full bloom and the weather is pleasantly warm. With average temperatures around 20°C, this is the ideal season for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, and exploring the stunning landscapes of the Carmarthenshire countryside.
During the peak season, from June to August, Llanarthney attracts visitors eager to experience its charm and tranquillity. The mild climate offers the great backdrop for leisurely strolls through the picturesque village or along the banks of the River Towy. You'll find plenty of opportunities to indulge in local attractions, such as the beautiful gardens of Aberglasney and the historic Dinefwr Castle, both of which are particularly enchanting in the summer sunlight.
For families looking to create lasting memories, July is an excellent time to enjoy local festivals and events that celebrate the region's culture and heritage. Engage with friendly locals and savour delicious Welsh cuisine at outdoor markets, while the children can play in the open spaces and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
If you're seeking a quieter experience, consider visiting Llanarthney in November. Though temperatures drop to around 9°C, this time of year provides a unique opportunity to enjoy the tranquil beauty of the landscape without the summer crowds. The autumn foliage adds a rich palette of colours to your surroundings, making it great for peaceful walks and cosy evenings by the fire at local inns.
