After planning a day trip to Cragside we wanted a good value hotel in the vicinity (30 min easy drive) with local amenities; ticked all boxes. Pleasant clean room with all essentials including full tea making facilities. Good quality breakfast.

overall very pleased with the hotel, but the room we were allocated was next to the leisure club,it was fine on the first night, but on the second night some sort of generator was going on and off all night waking my wife up on several occasions. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and the staff were very friendly

Great night with loads of charm. The room was comfortable for our family of five (including our three teenaged kids). We felt very welcome and enjoyed the local, casual restaurant/pub environment downstairs. A delicious full English breakfast the next morning was a great end to our one-night stay.
We were welcomed on arrival with home baked cake, tea, coffee....and the hospitality went on and on....White on white decor with whimsical decorative touches of glamour gave a perfect backdrop to the rural setting of Yhe mill House. Karen was a generous and knowledgeable hostess offering directions, telephone bookings, and suggestions about how we could best fill our days. Food was delicious! Northumberland has a jewel in this B&B!
We were very pleased with the overall ambience of this hotel. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the bathroom facilities excellent. The only problem we had was the heating was full on througout the night and we could not find any way of turning it down. As it was quite mild, it was overwhelming. The result was to open the window and as the our room faced the main road through the village, traffic noise was continuous.
The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of choices on the menu for dinner and breakfast and all was served up piping hot. The food was delicious.
Would not hesitate to recommend anyone to stay. If we are ever in the area again, would definitely stay there again.
