overall very pleased with the hotel, but the room we were allocated was next to the leisure club,it was fine on the first night, but on the second night some sort of generator was going on and off all night waking my wife up on several occasions. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and the staff were very friendly

Recently stayed for one night with my wife and 2 children had a great stay comfy clean a beautiful building
The owners Roz and Rocky were very welcoming as we're all the staff and the food and drink was excellent and good value for money
The hotel is a great place to get away from it all, quiet and peaceful (apart from the dawn chorus) with wonderful views. George and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. After one of his breakfasts you won't need to eat for the rest of the day. As a vegetarian it was great to see someone making an effort to serve something a bit different (three types of mushroom) as well as the usual egg, beans, veggie sausages and tomato.
Great night with loads of charm. The room was comfortable for our family of five (including our three teenaged kids). We felt very welcome and enjoyed the local, casual restaurant/pub environment downstairs. A delicious full English breakfast the next morning was a great end to our one-night stay.
After our original booking at a hotel in Morpeth fell through, Expedia offered us the Anglers Arms. It was fantastic. The room (room 3) was really a suite. The food in the restaurant was really good that evening all washed down with a good selection of beers. Breakfast kept us going all day Sunday, too.
A real find.
