Amazing stay

Overall its a beautiful property. I would highly recommend staying in the Coral Level if you can, its so much better! Unfortunately during the time we were there (end of July), the sargassum (seaweed) was really bad. The reaort crew is continuously cleaning the beach but the beach was pretty unusable the first couple of days. The food was much better in the Coral Level, if you stay there make sure to eat the breakfast ans lunch buffets there, the food is much better. A lot of their restaurants were closed during our stay, we got reservations at the Italian place. The food and atmosphere were really bad! Our favorite place to eat was the El Faro. The spa is amazing, you must try it! Overall a very enjoyable stay, with excellent service, we look forward to going back.

The property itself was beautiful, and our room was clean and comfortable. However, the level of service and treatment from several staff members significantly impacted our overall experience. As a father traveling with my wife and two daughters, I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and customer service throughout our stay. On multiple occasions, staff were rude or dismissive when we requested assistance, often responding with attitude rather than support. One concerning incident occurred at the Wired Lounge, where a staff member told my family they had to leave because my 13-year-old daughter was wearing a cover-up. After it was clarified that there was no dress code violation, no apology was offered for the way she was approached or made to feel uncomfortable. The individual was not wearing a name tag, and when we raised the issue with Public Relations, he could no longer be located. At the FlowRider, my children were waiting in line in the sun when another guest, who had been sitting in the shade, approached them and said they could not go because it was his turn. When I later spoke with my children, the guest became confrontational. The staff member overseeing the area did not de-escalate the situation and instead sided with the guest. The concern was not only the person, but also the inappropriate manner in which my children were addressed and the staff’s handling of the situation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously.

Amazing stay

It is honestly difficult to understand how this resort has such consistently high reviews. It is made up of several hotels, and while some have much better rooms, many facilities are shared, making the overall experience very inconsistent. We stayed at Family Selection, where the rooms and the Family Selection pool area are very good and everything feels quite new. However, in other pools and shared areas it is common to see things that are not very well maintained and some cleanliness issues. Nest is a clear exception among the buffets, which are otherwise generally disappointing (Arrecife feels like a 2 star buffet). The à la carte restaurants are average, and the advertised butler service adds very little and is not particularly useful. Service is probably the biggest issue. Some employees are genuinely kind and attentive (Cristian, Lina) but others seem completely indifferent to the guest experience. The beach bar staff is generally not very attentive either, although there are exceptions. Family Selection has some very good aspects, but the inconsistent service and shared facilities bring the overall experience down considerably.
