Very clean on our arrival, the reception greeting 🙂 really made feel relaxed at the start of our trip, the bar staff very good, the parking at our lodge was excellent, the whole of our trip was excellent.

Property is 20 mins from town. If you're looking to eat elsewhere, please note there a decent drive. I particularly wasn't please from the beginning of this experience. I arrived early to the hotel thinking I could grab some lunch as they advertise it on their website prior to check in. I was turned away from lunch because a bus of people came to stop for lunch whom were not staying on property. Being turned away the moment you arrive on property to a paying guest was the most outrageous experience. I was told to drive back into town if I wanted food. Put a sour taste in my mouth the entire time.

A visibly dirty remote control isn’t a good indicator of a room being regularly deep cleaned between guests. It would have been good to have had net curtains in the deluxe ground floor suite as I felt I couldn’t get dressed in daylight or relax on the bed in my robe as there were staff walking to and from directly outside my window. The WiFi signal in the room was awful which isn’t great for a solo guest. TV channel options were poor. The chair at the dressing table area was very tatty for a deluxe room. No slippers to go with the robe - I would have brought my own if I had thought there would not have been any. The staff however were all absolutely lovely and very helpful. Really enjoyed the pool and facial & massage treatment. Food was nice although I felt the fruit option at breakfast could have been better.
