I think the ratings received corespond to the hotel location (on the 18th hole at the Old Corse) and not the actual facility. All four of us arrived in a van that could not be parked by staff so we had to use the public facility ten minutes away by foot. It’s a very nice but dated hotel that doesn’t live up to expectations based on price. By the way, the lighting in the room is brutal. Low ceilings and low wattage bulbs.

Stayed here before and happy to return. Lovely welcome and room allocation. Restaurant choice and service was excellent as was breakfast. Only slightly negative comment was that the room was very warm overnight and air con was disabled.

Everything was great about the hotel - location, the look and feel, was comfortable, reasonably priced and lived you could get hassle free late checkout at an honest price. However, two things really aggravated me. 1. The gentleman that checked me in was silently rude and unfriendly, I had just come of a long flight and train ride to him making me feel like I have inconvenienced me. Secondly, I was in a building that was 2 houses away being a solo female there was no guidance to help usher me there or even help with my bags noting the driveway to my residence was all gravel. I would stay there again though. Loved it.
