(1,005 reviews) Our stay at Sanctuary Cap Cana was great and very relaxing. We stayed in the Castle, and while the first room we were given had a stunning view, it needed some TLC. The room felt musty, and the bathroom AC was leaking. We informed Hector, our butler, and he immediately took care of the situation. Thanks to Hector’s quick action, we were moved the next day to another room, which we absolutely loved. Hector was truly outstanding—attentive, proactive, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. His service made a significant difference and greatly enhanced our experience. We would also like to recognize Juan, who took excellent care of us at both Blue Marlin and the Wok Restaurant, and Oscar, our pool server, who consistently provided friendly and attentive service. We previously stayed at Sanctuary Cap Cana in January 2023, and at that time the food and entertainment felt stronger. While the food and drinks were just ok this time, there is room to elevate it further to better match the luxury level of the resort. Additionally, updating the main pool music with a more modern, island-inspired playlist would greatly improve the overall atmosphere, as the current selection felt somewhat outdated.
