"Good breakfast and great to have a free pool. Room too hot and noisy. Single glazed windows with commercial bins being moved around and emptied outside at 4am was not good for sleep! "

"The staff were attentive and helpful, even helping us with our luggage when we checked in past midnight. Thank you! However, the property is need of some TLC and maintenance. Room sizing varies greatly even in the same category of room (a group of us stayed with 3 separate bookings so we know), the phones never worked even to speak to reception (even when we called from our mobiles no one ever answered over 2 days) and the hotel is like a warren with rooms on the same floor spread out across various corridors and up and down stairs making it difficult to navigate and move luggage around. Parking on site was helpful though £10 a night feels an excessive fee. When checking in an unsavoury duo walked into the hotel (after midnight) armed with alcohol and a hostile attitude - they were not staying at the hotel. Staff dealt with it well but I can’t help wondering why anyone can just walk into the hotel at anytime."

"We stayed here for one night last week. For the price we paid we were happy. Bed was comfortable, parking right outside. The room was clean, reception efficient when we checked in and box to leave key card as we left early. It did feel like a 1960's holiday chalet style accommodation but for £50 we were happy."

"The room was clean and amazing as i stayed at the abbey room which is one of the penthouse which I highly highly recommend to stay at if you want a truly unforgettable experience and it was worth it . The room is spacious , bathroom was lush and the best part was the balcony view which had an amazing view . The only let down was there was only a few limited channels on the tv as it was outdated and couldn't connect my phone to the tv which was the only let down but me and my partner loved the whole stay , the room and there is parking which is great if you want a hotel with parking and it is free lots of spaces to park . Highly recommend to stay if you want to escape to the country side ."

"We loved this place only little things like light fitting on wall coming off and bonking on my head as it was over the bed I was on. And a mess up with breakfast ordered 4 kids full English breakfasts and 2 adult ones, to receive 6 kids breakfasts with loads of mess ups. 😑. My kids loved it beautiful area"

"Fantastic location, lovey rooms and access to the car park straight from my ground floor room. This hotel is perfect for me, in a quiet location with beautiful scenery and fantastic food. I have stayed in many hotels in this area and this one is easily in my top 3. Food prices is a little on the high side but I try to ignore that to enjoy the high standards this hotel adheres to. Thanks very much Hogarths, I’ll be back 😉"
