"Lovely place with the use of the old farm buildings"

"The property aesthetically looked great it was clean and had great amenities. I had requested a quiet room prior to booking as I needed to get work done and specified that but on arriving I was booked into a room with a crying child and family. To move I had to upgrade and pay for it which is a bit unfair considering I’d requested this prior to attending. The staff member said they couldn’t help that. I think they could. The next room was lovely and quiet but there was an issue with the large bed (which are 2 beds connected to each other) one mattress was lower than the other so it was a bed of 2 halves. I’ve woken up with a bad back this morning."

"Staff very welcoming and family room was very clean. Only issue is that a family room likely to have children had no blind or curtains in the bathroom and you entered the shower alongside this window. This window overlooks the High Street which I would suggest is not suitable. Also- who still has a flimsy plastic toilet seat? Wooden one required. Food was fantastic in the bar. Would stay again."

"Our room was just great. Plenty big enough for an 8 day stay. Everything worked and the TV was fine. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and powerful enough, despite a few stray shoots of water from the rear where it was not best coupled. The bathroom showed some signs of tiredness. There were signs of water damage and the mirror though good enough, had edges showing de-silvering. The reception staff and management were so helpful and friendly. We were really impressed by the attidude show and felt well looked after. The position of the hotel in Shirley is excellent. The Saracens Head pub in front is handy and very good likewise. Overall, we felt the hotel was excellent value for money and gave us a brilliant stay. Highly recommended!"
