This is a unique and characteristic hotel with lots of history and amazing architecture. The scenery, gardens and the estate overall are simply gorgeous. The spa and the outdoor pool area is also very nice especially in good weather (it may be difficult to find a lounger when it is sunny though). Extremely disappointed with this hotel. The heating system was not working properly, our room was cold the entire time we stayed there. We were given a fanheater for our room but it was not really ideal given the low temperatures we had during the weekend. I had a treatment booked at the spa, again staff were using a fanheater to warm the room as it was really cold. Such a beautiful hidden gem! So glad we booked this for an impromptu weekend away. It’s tucked away in Bray village so it’s very quaint. Beds really comfortable. We also received a complimentary upgrade on the day which was a sweet surprise. Rooms were on the smaller side but honestly not even an issue if it’s just for a night or two. Staff very friendly. Grounds were so peaceful to explore. Wonderful in the sunny weather!
