Henley-on-Thames' main claim to international fame is its rowing regatta, the highlight of the arts festival held every summer. The town is full of tradition, and visitors flock here all year round to enjoy its rich historic and artistic heritage. Henley sits on the River Thames and is an ancient market town dating back to the 12th century. There are plenty of things to enjoy in addition to the summer festival, and when you're based at a local Oxfordshire hotel or guesthouse you'll easily be able to explore this unique area and sample its many delights.

Henley-on-Thames Attractions

One of the many delights of Henley is its main street, which is lined with Georgian façades and is a superb example of period style. These and the even older buildings behind them are protected as being of special historical or architectural interest.
