"Upon arrival we were told the propert went into receivership and the new management didn’t have any rooms left. They did not email or advise prior. They had our details but were not interested in honouring existing bookings. They did help us pay for somewhere else"
"The reception at the hotel was poor with recognising my booking and requirements When I was shown to my room I was told I would need to wait 30 mins for the hot water. I expressed my views and was given a different room. When I tried to use the shower it was no more than a trickle, I reported it, ..."

"A one-night stop over the Christmas period. Room was warm and comfortable with a mini-fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. We checked in a little early and got a key which allowed us to access the room later without needing to go through the pub (which is lovely, but busy). We couldn't park on site when we checked in but when we came back later, after the pub closed, we had no problem at all. Friendly staff.
The pub is close to the railway line so there is some noise from trains but you'd expect some noise in a town centre pub."
