The Cold War Bunker is a Kent attraction featuring an underground command post from which Gravesend's emergency and rescue services were to be coordinated in the event of a nuclear attack. Thankfully, so far it hasn't been needed! Built in 1954, the bunker has 13 rooms which contained a power and ventilation plant as well as a communication area for staff.
