Waterford Lodge Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"As a single older woman I was looking for just an overnight stay enroute from Scotland to south England and this historic ‘budget’ hotel could offer a single night at very good value. Although it was ‘tired’ it offered a well lived in, homely feel with on site parking and was very clean. The linen and towels were fresh with spare pillows/ blanket. There was a beer garden attached to the bar /dining room which seemed full with happy banter/ laughter. It was a friendly, helpful place, not impersonal. By 10.30/11 it was quiet. (Guests were helpful/ friendly too!) I’d stay there again on my travels!"
