"Enjoyed 3 nights at the Cheviot hotel the breakfast was excellent and food in the evening also had plenty choice and very reasonable. Great base for exploring Kielder water and Hadrian’s wall . We were in room 9 which is across the road from the hotel which we found comfortable and spacious."

"Our stay was really pleasant, found everyone so friendly. The pub and room was so clean, we actually commented on how clean it was. They served craster kippers for breakfast which were so nice especially as we’d been to craister the day before and seen them being smoked."

"The whole place is a unique experience, the age, the style and the preservation, combined with 21st century comfort. We hope it can be maintained despite pressures from other values from today’s world not to mention the cost.
The staff were beyond excellent friendly, helpful, and well presented an important ingredient for a hotel of such high standard. The menu was well thought out and food well prepared every dish a picture."

"Great pub/hotel, good food, the steak n ale pie was amazing ! Great friendly staff. Nice bar area with fire. Nice seating area out back. Only negative is the rooms are not well sound insulated, could hear footsteps above, tv's and conversation either side and then bar beneath. Everything else perfect :)"
