"Upside: SUPER friendly and helpful staff, nice bar. Good atmosphere. An amazing garden. Great location - easy walk to the beach. Quiet, despite being central. To manage your expectation: - The hotel is very old with squeaky wooden floors under the carpet… the furniture is from ages ago, too. If you are after luxury, forget about it. - The pool would be great in winter. For summer (particularly if there is a heatwave), it is way too warm! CAUTION: If you are booking one of the cheaper room options, call them and confirm your room will have a proper window."

Came while we were in the room and said she'll be back later, so we left to give space but came back to find no one ever came back... staff was friendly enough, maybe more communication would be nicer. "Great staff, location and refurbishment. Food, drink, garden and leisure facilities excellent and the whole team couldn't be more helpful. Useful perks like free water, good tea and coffee tray, an actual bath and £5 off you don't have your room cleaned to spend on food or drink. Can't recommend it enough and will definitely be back!"
