"We love this hotel for its quirkiness, it’s atmosphere and charm. An added bonus is that every room is dog friendly but you would never know a dog had been in it when you arrive. This hotel has an atmosphere that can never be replicated The views from the restaurant are stunning and worthy of the South of France on a sunny day. Please, leave this hotel alone, don’t “modernise” it and make it like all the rest! The only downsides were the slow service for coffee and not enough staff at check in. Also having to book your breakfast and evening meal times was inconvenient when the times left at check in were limited to times you wouldn’t normally eat!! But despite these minor gripes it is a lovely place to stay"

"This is such a comfortable hotel - located in a position that’s fairly unique overlooking the sea and beach. Lovely gardens, indoor pool and gym, spotless rooms and spacious public areas. "

"The Pines is very relaxing, and we loved it. Quiet - no road noise, just the gentle sound of the sea in the background. The sea view from our room was stunning. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. The meals were delicious. It was perfectly situated to walk into Swanage or drive to Studland for a walk there. We would love to stay there again."

"Arrival was smooth. Checked-in, given room....because I had stayed there before I knew the hotel layout.... I asked if I could have a room closer to the parking lot because I was going to use my car often. Reception was polite and quickly reallocated me to a room of my choice. Room was very clean and well appointed. Only meal (due to covid) offered was breakfast and it was very good. Overall very happy with stay. "
