The hotel is very well run and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms are a decent size. Although it took a while for the water to warm up in the shower. I acknowledge that this is beyond the owner’s control, but my second floor room overlooked a junction and the traffic was noisy . At about 4am a lorry collected the empty glass bottles. The noise of the crash as the glass shattered was shocking. Avoid a roadside room on a Wednesday morning….if you want undisturbed sleep.

Excellent location; on bus route and next to railway station. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Only negative is that we had a room at the front of the hotel and the road is extremely busy throughout the day and night. If the windows are closed you do not hear the traffic but if they are open then you have little sleep. We had to keep the windows open as we stayed during the heat wave. Perhaps the hotel could provide fans during the summer months.

Quirky room and old hotel but great central location, easy parking and view of castle from the garden. Check in at the bar meant we had to wait as an order for 11 drinks was being taken ahead of us and only 1 person available. Comfy beds, good shower and the busy road quietened down overnight.

Had a lovely stay here. Staff were all very friendly and this is a lovely pub with a beautiful log burner. The breakfast was excellent, as was the food we had one evening when we dined here. Will definitely be back (hopefully when there's nicer weather) :)

Only stayed one night but for us location was excellent for visiting Corfe castle. Had dinner there and was great. The staff was very accommodating. only issue had was could not get hot water working. Would definitely stay there again.
