"An excellent one night stay at Christmas. I had booked online the last single room, and the hotel kindly phoned a few hours later to point out that the room had its own bathroom, but it wasn't en-suite. I said that would be okay, but to my pleasant surprise was informed on arrival that the room had been changed (a cancellation apparently). Still one with a sea view, but a double and en-suite too! Spotlessly clean, and decoration, room furniture - everything - of a very high standard. The extra space was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was first class, with a lot of choice. Cooked food I'd ordered had been carefully prepared and was nicely served. To sum up, I couldn't have expected more from my stay and, having met such friendly and obliging staff and enjoyed a comfortable, quiet room, I was tempted to change my plans and enquire about staying an extra night! "

"Booked long weekend here for birthday celebration. Had a very very nice stay, very friendly, efficient, helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Lovely clean sunny room with spectacular view of the whole bay, only downside were the pillows, way past their best, glad i brought my own! Garden overlooking the bay was lovely, we had the weather to enjoy and the private beach and beach bar was fab. I used the nice pool and the spa, Sidneys massage was excellent. Food was very nice with again those fabulous views from the restaurant. Cant fault this hotel, will definitely visit again"

"The hotel is of its period but is delightful and well maintained. Being a breakfast only hotel it is ideally placed with ease of access to many local restaurants. The staff were attentive and friendly. The bar is open until 12 midnight and is comfortable yet quiet. The room we had was ideal. Large room with large comfortable bed and sofa plus chairs, tables etc. Bath and shower excellent. We will be staying again. "

"comfy air beds, we had two doubles. toilet blocks cleaned daily, bacon sandwich at the cafe all good. Short walk to swanage 1.5 miles easy walking, for restuarants. We used this as a base for walking. All you need. "
