"This is a lovely old tavern with comfortable accommodation. The staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful, and it is in a great location. There are plenty of references to the White Star Line, in particular the Titanic, which was very interesting. The food was nice, especially breakfast, and there was even a pub quiz on our second night which we really enjoyed. We stayed here for three nights before joining a cruise. There were so many people doing the same thing on that day that...

"Fantastic stay at the Hampshire Hog. 2 x nights 24th &25th April 2024 Staff extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t eat in the evening, but breakfast was very nice, choice of full English breakfast, fruit, and lots of options, which were all good quality. The room was huge, we stayed in room 14. Reception advised whatever was in the room drink or food was ours foc. Well, there was 2 large bottles of cider, 2 bags of crisps, good quality chocolate, artisan...

"Our whole experience was fantastic. The room was huge with a fantastic period atmosphere but every modern convenience (roll-top bath, huge separate shower, twin sinks, extremely comfortable king-size bed, storage etc). Staff were great. We ate both in the evening and breakfast. All great. Our best stay anywhere in the country for years!"
