The hotel is dated, but well maintained. The staff were gracious and very helpful. The morning breakfast was amazing. It was an enjoyable stay, to say the least.

Lovely hotel to base yourself for peppa pig world. The pool was a bonus on arrival while waiting for dinner time. Changing facilities could have been cleaner, especially the floor. Breakfast had good choice. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Black out curtains helped with toddlers sleeping.
The room (especially the bathroom) was tired and needs a refurb.
Room could have done with a mini fridge and hotel would have benefited from a daytime shop selling sandwiches, drinks and such.
Spa was good and swimming pool warm though it had a section taped off which was not ideal.
Breakfast could have been better, a decent coffee machine offering Lattes, Americano etc rather than flasks of dreadful coffee.
Sausages not best quality
We enjoyed the stay but overall hotel needs a revamp.
Very clean, comfortable bed, air conditioning in bedroom which was very much appreciated when temperature was in mid thirties
Requested ground floor room and request was granted
I visit three/four times a year as I have family living near to the hotel which is very convenient for me
Rooms, hotel communal areas very clean and tidy. Evening meal was great although the breakfast for such a large hotel was a little disappointing. Would expect far more choice and the quality could be improved. Hotel was very relaxing and nice and quiet overnight! Will definitely return!
This hotel was in immaculate grounds and the man serving us when we checked in was fantastic - so helpful.
We looked at the pool, which was understandably full of happy kids. The staff informed us that no kids were allowed from 7pm so we delayed our visit to the pool until 7pm. However the pool continued to be full of kids until 7.30pm.
We were then late for dinner so enquired at the restaurant as to what they could offer a gluten-free vegetarian. Apparently only a caesar salad, which was disappointing. We then had to drive to Winchester to eat.
The room was fantastic and so ticked the reason for our visit but just disappointed by the pool and restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was to our liking. There was top notch service.
AC! As it was the hottest day of the year in June. Well until the following day, where it was still 31C at 9pm in Hampshire.
Pool good, if a little small, I think I absorbed most of the water through my skin!

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
The hotel staff at the reception were very helpful and so welcoming. However there was one member of staff in the laundry room who came across like she couldn’t be bothered helping when I asked her for a clean towel for the swimming pool area because the one she pointed me towards smelt really damp so I wanted a clean one and she just ignored me so I helped myself.
The hotel- the cleanliness was not great. The room was quite outdated and the bed sheets had this damp smell. My daughters had a foldable bed and their mattress sunk in when they slept on it so they could literally feel the bed rail underneath but because we were just there for one night and it was late we didn’t complain.
Breakfast was good it was a buffet style and had a good variety. Overall, we had a nice stay for the night as we used the swimming pool too. However, I wouldn’t return due to the lack of hygiene/cleanliness. The damp smelling sheets and towels really put me off 😑
We went for a weekend with friends
Parking was good. Didn’t eat in hotel. Went local pubs. Visited Southampton and Portsmouth. Breakfast hot and regularly topped up
Rooms large and nice towels and toiletries
We have stayed at this hotel many times and find that it meets our need of a quiet few days away and a spa to relax in. The rooms are spacious with tea/coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Large comfortable bed, warm room and plenty of hot water for baths and showers. Very helpful staff and plenty of parking.
