The room was spare, no drawers, and the open closet very narrow. For two people on the road, it was very frustrating to have no place to hang or put anything as bathroom space was also limited. A couple of strategic hooks would have helped. Breakfast was a plus, a good hot and cold buffet. And the location is great. Near shops and historic wharf sights.

The staff is fantastic, super helpful and nice. They really take care of you. The hotel needs a little upgrade, the rooms carpet seem a little old, and if you are looking for something modern / fresh it might not be the right place. The area where the hotel is located is 10/10.

Stayed 5 nights , like the area and Old Town Portsmouth. The Hotel is in a excellent position in middle of Shopping outlet so close to bars and restaurants. The rooms are reasonable size ,the beds could be upgraded or a decent topper for the top of mattress also pillows were a bit lumpy. A reasonable breakfast was provided a full English type or cereals, toast jam and croissants also available.

We stayed at this property for two nights prior to embarking on a cruise ship outboundfrom Portsmouth Harbor. The hotel is a short walk from the Portsmouth train terminal. It is located in the Gunwharf Quay development which is a huge shopping mall and entertainment venue with many restaurants. It is an easy walk to the Museum of the Royal Navy and a bit longer walk into the core of old Portsmouth. The hotel was pleasant but beginning to show wear. The breakfast was good with many offerings and sufficed to start our days.

The room is small in size. Low quality bed is so soft that doesn’t have any support. The two good things about this hotel are the location. It’s next to a big shopping center. The complementary breakfast is a full size buffet.

Our bathroom was tired - the toilet was cracked, the shower curtain needed replacing and one bedside light didn’t work. Having said that, we had a nice couple of days. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was plentiful. Our bed was clean and comfortable and the area was quiet - a real surprise considering we were in the middle of a huge shopping development! Eating was absolutely no problem because of the situation of the hotel - there were many, many restaurants in walking distance. Overall the central location was very pleasant with the Spinnaker Tower a walk away, as were the historic dockyards. The Mary Rose exhibition is stupendous! It was a tad expensive for what we got and PLEASE change the shower gel - it smells revolting! Lots of negatives there but we would go back (with our own shower gel) because for a short stay the location outweighs the relatively minor faults.
