"Pool felt cold compared to when we stayed a few years back, warmed up slightly on 2nd day. Changing rooms could do with some TLC missing locker doors or broken. Nice food although some items off the menu were not available. Only 1 towel was provided in room on arrival had to ask twice for more. Rooms adequate, bathroom ok but black mood on walls near shower. Walls are paper thin, could hear the person next door coughing and having a wee! Lovely. Wish other people staying would have consideration and close doors quietly at night and not let their kids run wild down the corridors late at night just selfish."

"Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast choices were very good and plentiful. However the room was very dated and in need of renovation and had a funny smell when you walked in. The bedroom lacked any real style - blind needed replacing and the bathroom reminded us of a prison bathroom (all grey in colour)and stuck in the 80s with some broken fixtures so rather disappointing. The newly refurbished dining room looked good though!"

Buffet style cooked breakfast was only thing that was not 100% ... one day it was all pretty dried under the lights, although the next stay it was much busier and breakfast was fresher as turnaround of stock was faster. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food was good but a little pricy, although expected for a hotel restaurant. We would definitely stay again if in the area."

"We had a lovely stay. The hotel is modern, clean and well presented, and the restaurant, bar and breakfast teams were absolutely fantastic — friendly, welcoming and a real credit to the hotel. Unfortunately, our check-in experience was disappointing. Despite booking a luxury double room, we were initially allocated an accessible room. When we queried this and showed our booking confirmation, which clearly confirmed the room we had reserved, both reception staff and the manager suggested the error was ours rather than acknowledging the hotel's mistake. Having travelled extensively and stayed in hotels around the world, we felt this fell short of the level of customer service expected from a hotel of this standard. Thankfully, the excellent service from the restaurant, bar and breakfast teams helped make the overall stay enjoyable. The hotel itself is lovely, but we feel that some additional training for the reception team would help bring the check-in experience in line with the otherwise high standards of the hotel."
