Needs a bit of TLC, one kitchen cupboard has come away from its adjacent unit, freezer drawers broken handles and both bathroom hand towel and toilet roll holders are loose. "Had a really good week at the Royal Beacon. The hotel and staff were great. Nothing was too much bother. Lovely location with a short walk to a decent restaurant. Only downside was the parking which most of the time would have been impossible to find. Luckily booked on of the few hotel parking spaces. Only about 8 spaces so l would recommend booking early. It’s a pity that the hotel will be closing in October to be turned into apartments. A sad goodbye because we would definitely gone back again. Not very disabled friendly as the one lift from the car park into the hotel was not working and there are a few steps at the front. But all in all a lovely hotel with brilliant staff."
