Grand Sunset Princess - All Inclusive

"We stayed at this resort for 4 nights. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the drinks were okay, although the cocktails were too sweet for my taste. We came mainly for the beach and understood it was sargassum season, but we were very disappointed that the beach was not cleaned at all. Nearby resorts were removing seaweed daily, while ours did nothing. The seaweed stayed there 24/7, smelled terrible, and made it impossible to enjoy the beach. Another disappointing experience happened right after check-in. We were offered a “free” 4-night future stay, resort merchandise, and gifts, but only later learned that these could only be claimed after attending a 90-minute membership sales presentation. The employee spent a long time explaining the offer and even scheduled an appointment before finally mentioning a “refundable” $10 fee. If this had been disclosed from the beginning, we would have declined immediately. We came to enjoy our vacation, not attend a sales presentation, so we did not go and lost the $10. The whole process felt misleading and left a very poor first impression. Instead of pushing membership presentations, it would have been much more helpful if someone had explained basic resort information to us. We were also surprised that there was almost no evening entertainment outside of the theater shows. The plaza and bar area were completely silent — no music, live singers, or musicians playing. It felt awkward and empty for us."

"This has been one of the greatest all inclusive me. And my lady has ever been the effort of the staff. This is undeniable, the hospitality exquisite, i'm thoroughly impressed with the food environment, and ambiance. Each bar was its own fun. Each bartender was its own personality. I couldn't recommend this resort more."

"We had the BEST time staying at Ocean Rivera Paradise. We stayed in the Privilege junior swim out suite. Our room was right across from the Privilege pool. Our butler, whose name was Pool, was the best. We casually mentioned it was my birthday while we were there and he had a birthday tiara, sash and balloons waiting at our table for dinner that night. Then when we got back to our room, it was decorated with balloons and streamers, along with a dessert plate that had happy birthday written on it. He reserved lounge chairs for us at the beach pool, and checked in with us on his day off. All of the service was excellent. I met Ellie (waitress) at the beach pool. She remembered my name and drink the next day at the Privilege pool. She was awesome and very personable. The food at this resort was the best we have ever had! We had an 80 minute couples massage at the spa that was wonderful. We will definitely be back!"

"The room was amazing at Palafitos Over the Water Bungalows! A little pricey, wish it was less m, but we were celebrating our 30th year anniversary and wanted to make sure it was top notch and we definitely received top notch service and we definitely had that and more! The room was immaculate! Staff were extremely friendly and attentive! The yoga and stretching were peaceful and timely! Food was a la carte which helped in not overeating! Portion sizes and ingredients were enough to satiate! Lomas hospitality transport from Cancun airport was amazing and friendly but the driver for departure home was terrible! Not friendly, no hello! No discussion it was like night and day from the person who initially picked us up. Thankfully, I could look pass the nonchalant attitude of the driver because I couldn’t let his attitude wrinkle my outfit. The Catamaran experience was nice! Special shout out for excellent service at Palafitos Restaurant: Elisio. Israel, and Rusel very friendly and accommodating faces. The butlers at Palafitos were Liz, Karla, Aldo, Yasser, Fernanda and the bartender Francisco were all amazing. Alvaro our beach attendant and welcome helper were exceptional employees! They know how to make a vacation top notch. Thank you to everyone here and I truly appreciate Tristan’s and Mafer’s workouts! Excellent staff!"
