"The property was undergoing renovations and there was construction noise during the day into the afternoon. The property is good, but worn. There is little to no activity surrounding the hotel during my stay. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and the beach area with the clear and clean waters were great."

"We've been averaging 1-2 stays a year at Playa Azul since 2013. Every visit is a fantastic and a relaxing time. The warm and attentive staff makes all the difference and they are the main reason we keep going back. The breakfast buffet always has many delicious choices to choose from, even cooked- to-order options. The beach is probably one the best in Cozumel, easy access to the ocean, snorkeling and there are plenty of beach chairs for lounging and relaxing. Even better, the fully stocked beach Bar is just steps away. This trip we wanted to take an off property snorkel trip, the front desk recommended we check with Jose and Lalo who are located at the beach club just between the Playa Azul and the Westin. These two outstanding young men customized a 2 hour guided snorkel tour for us on jet ski's. What a blast! The trip included many video clips and pictures along the way. They took very good care of us and we can't thank them enough for the unforgetable experience we had. We can't wait to go back again and we highly recommend the Playa Azul to others!"

"Loved the staff. The place is ready for an update but totally worth it for the price. The beach is nice, you can snorkel on site. The buffet is ok in terms of variety but the chef can always make it better with stuff from the grill. Yummy tacos and salsa verde ;). Beds were comfortable, our son complaint about the AC but to me, the temperature was fine. Overall we all had a great time, hope to be back soon."

"We had a large group and this was the most perfect house! The host met us upon arrival and was extremely nice and helpful in showing us around the property. The staff that works at the house were also very polite and kind! It had tons of room for us to spend time together indoor and outdoors. The pool table was a big hit as well! Cannot recommend this property enough! Very quiet area on the island and in a gated community. Beautiful beach as well!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and well stocked with dishes, washer/dryer, AC, clean swimming pool, parking, etc.. It was more reasonably priced than other comparable properties. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Cozumel."

"We stayed at Casita Maya for our first ever trip to Mexico and we had a fantastic time here! It really felt like staying with fun friends. Very relaxed energy, very beautiful space. Daniel is the MVP! He was always joking with my husband and was very quick to help with anything we needed throughout our stay, like numerous taxis and answering many questions. He’s also an excellent chef. We loved having our meals out by the pool, in fact we ordered breakfast here every morning. House keeping did a wonderful job for us as well! The only thing I noticed is that the tile floors were a little dusty (which I only noticed because I walk around in socks usually and the black pairs tend to show dust) but the room still felt very clean and the fresh towels and linens always smelled wonderful. The closet is huge for a hotel, with very convenient shelves just across from the vanity. We loved listening to birds through the adjustable louvered shutter windows and doors every morning as we woke up. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We felt well-cared-for, clean, and comfortable at this hotel."
