"The property was undergoing renovations and there was construction noise during the day into the afternoon. The property is good, but worn. There is little to no activity surrounding the hotel during my stay. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and the beach area with the clear and clean waters were great."
Hotel Playa Azul Cozumel

"We've been averaging 1-2 stays a year at Playa Azul since 2013. Every visit is a fantastic and a relaxing time. The warm and attentive staff makes all the difference and they are the main reason we keep going back. The breakfast buffet always has many delicious choices to choose from, even cooked- to-order options. The beach is probably one the best in Cozumel, easy access to the ocean, snorkeling and there are plenty of beach chairs for lounging and relaxing. Even better, the fully stocked beach Bar is just steps away. This trip we wanted to take an off property snorkel trip, the front desk recommended we check with Jose and Lalo who are located at the beach club just between the Playa Azul and the Westin. These two outstanding young men customized a 2 hour guided snorkel tour for us on jet ski's. What a blast! The trip included many video clips and pictures along the way. They took very good care of us and we can't thank them enough for the unforgetable experience we had. We can't wait to go back again and we highly recommend the Playa Azul to others!"

"This place is awesome! Right on the water, really quiet, 5 min from the airport, and super clean. Clara the host is great. Met us out front of the property…we were a little early but she accommodated us anyway. Definitely saving this place for the next time we’re in CZM."

"Beautiful place. Great for relaxing but not being too far from the northern beach clubs and still close to downtown. We rented a small car and had no problems exploring the island on our time. Definitely coming back."

"Really relaxing with beautiful ocean views. Steps from the water. Well managed. Hosts, and maid were terrific. Try walking on the beach towards downtown to reach restaurants at resorts during the day. Drive to the original lobster house for dinner. Avoid Hemmingway's lounge at night. Tons of termites? flying to the lights, drinks, food."

"Hotel B Unique has a pool that is not practical if you want to get some sun. The location is a selfie takers paradise, and I would say I saw more selfies per hour than any other hotel property I have ever visited... Hotel B has more realistic pool area and surrounding area, unfortunately the pool was stagnant with ZERO filtration...it gets kinda nasty. I did approach the pool person, he claimed to not understand english. Overall a beautiful location."

"Loved the staff. The place is ready for an update but totally worth it for the price. The beach is nice, you can snorkel on site. The buffet is ok in terms of variety but the chef can always make it better with stuff from the grill. Yummy tacos and salsa verde ;). Beds were comfortable, our son complaint about the AC but to me, the temperature was fine. Overall we all had a great time, hope to be back soon."
