A good centric spot in Playa del Carmen, very close to the main street where you can go to catch the buses that go to Tulum and Cancun. Some stores and restaurants near by for convenience and overall the staff was welcoming and helpful in things like calling me a cab and storing my luggage. Recommended.

They should clean more the rooms my sheets was dirty with stains and find some hair in the pillows also the towels had some stains and the fridge was dirty, and elevator was not working and I had 2 big luggage’s with me and needed to left one at the car. It was okay but I’ll not stay again. Staff was nice though.

Even though the location is off major tourist routes, it is within walking distance of major supermarkets, local shops and restaurants.. And it is maintained very well and clean.. I would highly reccommend WinDay for short and long stays.

DO NOT BOOK - this hotel was closed and not operating when we arrived. We booked WIN DAY Playa - Hotel Express on Expedia for August 19-22, 2026. Nobody contacted us before the trip. We only found out the hotel was "under maintenance" and not accepting guests when we physically arrived and walked in to check in. At that point we were stranded in Playa del Carmen with our luggage and had to scramble to find and book another hotel at the last minute. No warning, no email, no call, no cancellation notice - the listing was still live and taking reservations for a property that is not open. If the property is closed for maintenance it should not be bookable at all, and guests with existing reservations should be notified in advance. Until it is confirmed to be open again, do not book this place under any circumstances.
