"Our room was large - excellent shower and all clean. Bed was very comfortable, although the base needed attention - looked quite unsightly with chipboard showing. Had an excellent evening meal. Staff very friendly and helpful."

"Although late arriving we received a warm & efficient welcome. Our room (family for 3 people) was immaculate and we greeted the day with stunning views and a fabulous breakfast .. After a day in Edinburgh (50 minute drive) we returned to use the pool, sauna & steam room, before a quick change and dinner in Millers bar - food was great & staff were very friendly and helpful. Every single member of staff were smiling, professional and keen to help making for a very relaxing break.. Thank you - we will be back …"

"Excellent breakfast, clean room, quite and beautiful neighbourhood, rooms are compact but good; since it's for long term stay it does not have amenities like shampoo and body gel, you have to prepare for your own. Good transportation, bus station just right by the main gate. Checkin centre is not very easy to find but still very helpful."

"Wonderful stay. The building is lovely and has the perfect, Scottish Country Estate feel. The bar is cozy, the breakfast delicious and all the staff are warm and welcoming. The location is very walkable from downtown Edinburgh - about 20 minutes or a quick, inexpensive Uber ride if the weather breaks. We would absolutely stay again."

"Great place to stay and would again. Old castle, so you have the historical vibes of the place. Had restraunt on site, only hade breakfast here and was good. Have onsite-bar and outside seating to enjoy the grounds. On outskirts of city, so very quiet, vast grounds to walk. Had a lift for luggage movement. Staff was great, location quiet. Had the two-bedroom suite and like it very much. (only issue were the carpets had some burn marks). But room was large and had a little room for coffee and tea. on-site open parking. Great place and recommend."
