"Efficient, clean, comfortable, convenient,"
Adequate, but no frills hotel. Staff were efficient, friendly, responsive and helpful. Included Breakfast was filling and adequate. Coffee maker was good. Room comfortable and clean. Shuttle to airport convenient. Cons: no gym facilities. Had to pay extra to use the gym next door. Poor location in the middle of nowhere. Ok if you had your own vehicle, otherwise, this may not be a wise choice. Overall, had a good 3 day stay here, but only because we had friends who picked us up in the morning after breakfast for sight seeing, and dropped us off after dinner at night. A mini fridge in the room would certainly bring this up to par with American holiday Inn Express standards. Kudos to the staff. They were all pleasant!

"Excellent B&B outside Norwich, hearty breakfast"
It is a lovely B&B just outside Norwich in the countryside. They do a great breakfast with plenty of choice on offer. The only downside is its close proximity to the airport and the planes are very noisy when flying over (after 6am). This probably reflects why it offers B&B at a very competitive price.

I stayed at the Wensum Guest house for a period of 2 weeks. It is a fine guest house in a good location, with very nice rooms and excellent staff. I had an issue in the first week of my stay due to a poor wifi connection. Due to this the staff kindly offered to move me to a larger room which had a more suitable wifi connection free of charge. The rooms and facilities were always clean, the breakfast was good and most importantly the staff really made sure I had a very comfortable experience.

"Quiet location"
This was an anniversary weekend treat which we had been looking forward to for some time. We dined in on Friday due to a late arrival and not knowing what else was around. The menu choice was quite limited and very expensive for what we got. We order a Pinot Grigio wine and were served a Pinot Noir. We sent it back for the correct order but were charged for the Noir (£6.00 dearer in total). There was also a service charge on our bill which I asked to be removed - watch out for this as it is not compulsory! We would have liked the afternoon tea but it was too expensive at £7 / £15/ £23. There was a party on the Saturday night which had booked out one of the Restaurants so we were unable to sample the menu - I would recommend the Blue Boar Inn around the corner but best to book as it gets busy. However, on our return we were unable to park the car and had to drive around for about 10 minutes before squeezing into a tight dark spot away from the entrance. The staff were very polite and helpful but I feel more importance should be given to residents, ie designated parking for guests, increased adult only swimming times for residents as we were limited to over lunch time or late at night. We were over-charged on our bill which was eventually rectified, but I feel the £700 spent on the rooms alone meant VIP treatment which I didn't get.

Pocket Guide: Norwich Norwich Intl. Hotels

Norwich International Airport is just three miles north of the city centre and is the UK’s 29th busiest airport. The countryside around is typical of Norfolk and there are numerous accommodation options such as rural guesthouses and bed & breakfasts in the smaller villages and townships. The airport complex itself has some larger hotel chain offerings for passengers who are passing through on their way to Europe or other UK destinations.

    Where is Norwich?

Norwich International Airport is on the doorstep of Hellesdon, a suburb of Norwich which was settled over four millennia ago and has associations with the Anglo Saxon King Edmund and Viking raiders. The village has some excellent B&B accommodation in a traditional rural setting, and in the high street you’ll find several curio shops and a couple of interesting old pubs. If you’re looking for a taste of Old England close to Norwich Airport you’ll find all the ingredients right here, and a family-run guesthouse makes the perfect base for further exploration of the area. East Anglia has a unique landscape and plenty of attractions to explore when you’re based here at a hotel or friendly B&B.

Staying Connected at Norwich International Airport Hotels

For anyone passing through Norwich Airport on the way to far-flung destinations, the natural choice when it comes to accommodation is the excellent bigger hotel chains in the immediate vicinity of the airport itself. Business travellers especially often simply do not have the time to delve into the world of atmospheric guesthouses and need facilities that only the airport complex can provide.

With meeting rooms and photocopying equipment, high-speed broadband internet services and numerous other business-oriented facilities provided, it makes sense to take a room here, where the smooth cogs of commerce can keep running uninterrupted. For those who do have the time, there are several boutique and spa hotels closer to the city where a massage and steam bath could be just the thing to keep you feeling fresh and on top of things!

Great Days out When You Stay at a Norwich Hotel

Norwich is one of England’s oldest and most beautiful cities, packed with attractions such as the famous cathedral and castle, as well as some of the country’s best museums and galleries. Visitors arriving at the airport have plenty of options for accommodation, as the city has a good choice of small guesthouses and B&Bs which are just a short walk from many of the top attractions.

A Vibrant Food Scene in Norwich

Norwich has a rich and varied culinary scene, with most of the food brought straight in from the wide acreages of farmland all around and served up in some delicious recipes. Based at a B&B or in one of the grander five-star hotels for which Norwich is renowned, you can quickly get to any one of the eateries lining its streets and enjoy some of the traditional cuisine of East Anglia. Home grown produce and farmers’ markets are the norm in this part of the UK, and even the humblest family-run B&B will serve you up farm-fresh food for your breakfast.
