The hotel was excellent and staff wonderful. The only reason for marking a 4 rather than a 5 is the bed and bedding. The "double" bed was just two singles pushed together (although there was a hook on the base for joining them it didn't reach), the bedding was just a thin flat sheet which was too small to remain tucked in around the beds, especially when the single beds moved apart. I found the lack of mattress and pillow protectors very strange for such a nice quality hotel.

Not welcoming when checking in. Bed very old and uncomfortable. Bar not open for drinks in the day. Nowhere nice to sit outside. Food was like eating at harvester only double the price! Absolutely brilliant 4 * hotel just three miles from the centre of Norwich, charging about a third less than the equivalent city centre hotels (and the same price as the very basic city centre Travelodge / Premier Inns). We paid just £10 a night more for the superior double which was well worth it. Very spacious with extra seating. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and appointed, plentiful communal areas and welcoming and helpful staff. Dining, breakfast and the bar were very good quality and very good value. Outstanding value for money all round. Well done Sprowston Manor!
