I have stayed in a number of hotels in Newcastle and this was the best stay. The room was spacious with a well equipped mini kitchen and we had prepared 2 good evening meals there. The bed was so comfortable and the location made the hotel quiet which is a change to the noise and sirens throughout the night in my other stays! I stayed at jam jar for a brief period, but I’m sure I’ll be using the rooms sooner rather than later again. Excellent and well maintained. Staff very friendly and food is great at the bar below. Highly recommend

We used the hotel as a base whilst I underwent some tests and procedures at the Royal Victoria infirmary. The staff could not have been more helpful and all in all the quality of our stay was exceptional. The bedrooms are understated but well-equipped. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was okay - the full English I felt was a bit small for what I paid but other hot options looked pretty good - would consider that next time and the continental breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.

Fabulous room, enormous comfortable bed, amazing bathroom, it was a real taste of luxury. Only one slight quibble, the breakfast was extra so we didn't bother.

Stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment with my husband and mother-in-law. Came by train and this place was literally a few minutes away from the main train station.
