Although the hotel is an old building, as you’d expect of a coaching house, the rooms were modern with all the facilities and sundry items you’d expect. Made to order breakfasts were of the highest standard and the bar was very welcoming, with a good food menu prepared by a talented chef. "The Whately Hall was even better than we expected. The room was large and airy with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. The evening meal was served by a very polite waitress for whom nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was self service with a choice of continental and a Full English Breakfast with a choice of how you wanted your eggs cooked. Or both if you had enough room. All the staff were exceptionally well mannered and it was clear that they were there to help whenever they were needed. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay."
