we liked the location- close to several great towns. The food is very good and the staff is super friendly and accommodating.
Such a quaint lodging. Very old country English. Exactly what I expected. Nice pub, lovely breakfast in am. Unique room out back in probably what was once was the horse stable, but very nice and up to date 😊 Only negative would be the very large resident dog that had free roam of the pub/ breakfast ...
The hotel is quite comfortable in the common areas, the rooms are exceptionally small and need some updates but otherwise pleasant in an English countryside kind of way. I stayed 3 nights to explore the Cotswolds which was a perfect location to do this. The restaurant and bar was fantastic.
Very friendly, family-run Inn that's conveniently located in the main high street at Moreton in the Marsh. I slept soundly in an antique bed and there was no noise at all from the pub below.
lovely property and had a lot of charm and history.lovely setting outdoor for dining as well. great breakfast and convenient location to railway station. we were there during a heat wave and room did not have AC but other rooms might.
It is a wonderfully historic inn conveniently located in the heart of town and walking distance to the train.
Located just a 45 minute drive from Cirencester and Cheltenham, next to Batsford Arboretum, the Cotswold Falconry Centre attracts over 20,000 visitors a year. The centre opened in 1988 and is home to around 150 birds of prey. It's just one of many great family days out in Gloucestershire, and visitors to the centre often stay in hotels in Cirencester or Cheltenham, where you'll find everything from affordable chain hotels to luxury historic inns.
With most hotels in Cirencester and Cheltenham offering free parking, you can take your pick when it comes to choosing accommodation in the area. Couples may prefer the charm of a quaint B&B or luxury inn, whilst families may find Cheltenham's chain hotels in the town centre a more affordable option. Most hotels are happy to cater for families, providing cribs or roll-away beds on request, whilst some even allow pets to stay. Amenities such as free WiFi make it easy to check out local attractions and plan your stay.
The Cotswold Falconry Centre opens at 10.30am every day with free flying demonstrations (and feeding) at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm daily. During the summer months, there's an extra session at 4.30pm. As well as watching the flying demonstrations, visitors can take a walk through the 'Owl Wood', a chance to watch birds breeding in a near-native environment, or you can book experiences such as an Owl Evening or Eagle Day, to get up close and personal with the birds. Family tickets are available and represent great value for money for those on a budget, who will probably find chain hotels in Cheltenham are the best bet when it comes to accommodation.
With so many family-friendly hotels offering tasty breakfasts and free parking, it's easy to see why The Cotswolds attracts families throughout the year. You're surrounded by miles of stunning countryside with bridleways, cycling and hiking trails, as well as family attractions such as the Cotswold Country Park and Beach. You'll find hotels here cater for all budgets, from discounted family rooms to luxurious inns offering 24-hour room service.
