"This is a hostel but I booked a private room - this was an amazing room with a bed downstairs and the main bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
It's in an amazing location and the view from my room was great"

"If you're looking for a place to stay to explore Lucca, this is an excellent choice. A clean and comfortable place just a 5 minutes walk from The Wall and great price. Be sure to confirm that breakfast is included at this B&B - ours was not."

"Roberta is so helpful throughout our stay. She drove us to the bus stop when we couldn’t get a taxi. Their saying is “come as a tourist, go as a friend” is definitely true. We highly recommend Il Linchetto and it is 10 stars out of 5."

Valentina and Pietro were both amazing. Property location was perfect. Clean, different and facilities were excellent. Loved the fact that Valentina kept in touch all through our stay and sent helpful guides and map to us. Also lovely pictures of Lucca.
We will return.

Accommodating, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, location superb for easy reach inside Lucca walls, quirky and not your run of the mill small hotel. Breakfast best we've ever had and we're frequent travellers. Hosts fantastic. Bed and room comfortable. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay just inside the walls of wonderful Lucca with good access to everything and close to the train station if you need to be (which we did). The room was clean and tidy and shared spaces included everything you needed (and a few bits more than we expected). Debora and her daughter were both lovely. Would really recommend.

We stayed in room 9. We loved the unusual decor, cleanliness, the friendly staff, the good size of shower (not being the thinest of people), the air conditioning that worked really well, breakfast and the drinks and bits to eat in the basement dining room availability 24 hours per day. It also has a car park which was a worry if it did not have one.
The only issue we had was the place has no lift which meant we had to leave our large suitcase in the car.

This was my 2nd stay here. The location was perfect : a quiet part of the city, within the walls, so all the main attractions were close by. The staff were very friendly and and would do anything to help to make the stay a good one. They also spoke English, which was a bonus. I would definitely use this hotel again.

We visited the San Luca Palace in September. The rooms are magnificent. Clean and spacious. The hotel is very close to the town centre (about a 5 minute walk to the Duomo).
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and the staff calm and attentive.
There is also a very good restaurant about 3 doors down from the hotel.
Can’t recommend highly enough!

This is a lovely hotel in the centre of Lucca, 10 minutes from the station, although a little climb to get through the city walls.
The continental breakfast was welcome, although a little strange that you had to approach the staff for a coffee or hot water rather than the other way round.

Wonderful hotel in a quiet street in the heart of Lucca, near the amphiteatro. The rooms are beautifully decorated with frescos, comfortable and with all facilities. Breakfast is a highlight with choices to suit everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. One of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere.

My son and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night out the 3 on our visit to Tuscany as we were flying out of Pisa the following morning. The hotel has a good mix of old and new furnishings and décor. Fabulous bathrooms though a wee bit small. Just the right amount of choice at breakfast in a pleasant conservatory. Also a very spacious terrace for sitting out or relaxing on a sun lounger with a drink from the bar service at reception. Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would like to return in the...

We stayed here for one night and were very pleased with the room which was in the older building a few steps away. Lovely large comfortable room. All staff were helpful and friendly. Happy to arrange taxis or dinner for you. The coffee and snacks provided in the reception area were a welcome treat as was the complementary fizz served at 5 pm!. If I’m the area again would stay here!

The property is reaslly nice with large spacious rooms. The hotel is located in a very peaceful remote location with stunning views. The pool was really nice, but could do with some heating and it would be nice if there was a small fitness centre on-site. There was a limited lunch menu based on being so remote. Dinner was great, but a very small restaurant. The couple managing the hotel were really friendly

Excellent hotel with excellent hosts who couldn't do enough for you. Room was cleaned daily with top ups of water, biscuits and toiletries. Breakfast was good with a great selection of pastries and eggs made to order. Ideally situated, 15 min walk from the train station and 7 min walk to the leaning tower. Excellent B & B

We arrived 2 hours early but our room was ready and were taken straight up. The room itself was gorgeous, really authentic and old looking but spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the mini bar was stocked with treats at a very reasonable price.
The hotel is inside the walls and is right in the heart of the town. All the restaurants were only 5-10 mins walk away with some really nice Cafe/Bars around too. We took a train to Florence on 1 day and the train was only 14 Euro's and it...
