"Relaxing break for a few days."
Our 4th visit, 3rd in a cottage. Our cottage was listed as a 'superior cottage' in Expedia terms, but each is different. We stayed in 'Baliff's house', with a downstairs lounge, separate kitchen with sink/kettle/fridge, upstairs to a large king bedroom with adjoining bath/shower room. There's a semi private garden just outside. The hall itself is set in extensive and beautiful grounds, several hundred metres from the A470, so access is good and noise it minimal. Ample parking, including areas very close to the cottages. There's a spa (think girly stuff) but it has a great pool and is generally empty so you can have a proper splash around. The main house is as you'd expect. Lots of nooks and crannies and 'high tea' or booze can be served anywhere. The dining room is smallish (I think about a dozen tables) but well presented, excellent service and very find dining in the evening. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The grounds/gardens are really impressive. Check out pics on the web and satellite imagery to give a sense of scale. Big enough to get a decent about of exercise! Love the place. As I say, it's our 4th visit, and it won't be our last.

"Very nice but with some drawbacks"
Pros: Lovely room & bathroom, nice bed, great location, balcony (5th floor), friendly staff. Cons: No air con with 5th floor like a sauna, only duvet cover, no sheets. Very noisy (boiler?) during night. Parking a nightmare on weekends.

Room was too small for 4 person with only double bed and a single bed. Though I love the place facing the sea view and it was near the train station too.

"Good location but tired hotel"
As said - great location but our hotel room was very shabby and, as it was at the back, the view was yuk. We had the feeling breakfast is 8.30 -9am with NO exception (we all - guests -obediently assembled at 8.30am. No flexibility). Pleasant host and staff. Good breakfast. Just cap room (and small, bathroom past it's use-by date).

Pocket Guide: North Wales Llandudno Hotels

    Hotels: Llandudno

The most revered seaside resort in Wales, Llandudno, is located on the Creuddyn peninsula and offers visitors an experience that is rich in history, natural beauty and culture. You’ll find a range of hotels that mirror the town’s quirky personality: there are grand Victorian mansions and small, welcoming bed and breakfasts, Llandudno has something for everyone, no matter what your price range: so where will you stay?

The Perfect Hotels in Llandudno to Take in the Views

Hotels on the top of the Great Ormes offer the best views of the town and surrounding area. Some of the town’s most unique hotels are situated towards the peak of this mini-mountain and provide stunning vistas for a very reasonable price.

Meanwhile on the west shore on the estuary of the River Conwy it gets ‘curiouser and curiouser, still’. Here you can see just how Alice Liddell, of Alice in Wonderland fame, spent her summer holidays. The west shore offers traditional bed and breakfasts with breathtaking views and fantastic Welsh hospitality. There are also some grand hotels in this area, which is a small distance from the town centre, and the perfect place to stay for that extra bit of peace and quiet.

    Historical Festivals in Llandudno

Come to Llandudno during the May bank holiday and experience the wonder of the Victorian festival. With a lively mix of authentic entertainment (including a funfair and sideshow), parades, and a festival of transport, this three day historical extravaganza is sure to provide a truly unique way to enjoy the Victorian charms of Llandudno.

If you stay near Mostyn Street or Clonmel Street you will be in the heart of the action. There are a wide range of hotels and bed and breakfasts in this area but book far in advance, as this is always a very busy time for tourists in Llandudno.

Staying a little further out of the centre is also a good option. The town is small enough to walk around and after a busy day at the fair, you may want to put your head down somewhere further away from the hustle and bustle.

A Room with a Sea View

Stay along the promenade for a room with a sea view. The hotels along the seafront are beautiful - many are situated in ornate Victorian buildings with grand entrances and verandas serving afternoon tea.

There are some less expensive options in this area, with family-run bed and breakfasts offering deals outside of peak season. On the whole, all hotels in Llandudno are incredibly good value for money, especially in comparison to seaside resorts in England.

Where to Stay for Shopping in Llandudno

Llandudno is better known for its outdoor activities and excellent eateries but does have some great shopping opportunities too. Stay in a hotel close to Mostyn Street to really make the most of what the town has to offer. This area is also great for foodies. Around here you will find authentic Welsh restaurants alongside upmarket bistros.

Where Will You Stay in Llandudno?

Whether you’re into hiking, sightseeing, wandering or shopping, Llandudno has something for you. With a wide range of beautiful hotels and friendly, family-run bed and breakfasts, your trip to Llandudno is sure to be a relaxing and invigorating experience.
