North Wales is probably not the first destination that comes to mind when you think of skiing but Llandudno ski slope offers exactly that, in this charming resort town.

With a scenic PermaSnow ski slope offering year-round skiing and the UK’s largest toboggan run, this makes for a great family day out. There’s also the chance to try your hand at snowboarding and snow-tubing, plus a fully licensed bar and restaurant for enjoying some down time.

Take some lessons or simply enjoy a few hours on the patented PermaSnow surface, with group and individual classes available. Or, for a different kind of downhill fun, the toboggan run is a massive 750 metres of exhilaration. Climb 250 metres vertically from the bottom to the top of the Cresta Run where you can enjoy panoramic views of Llandudno Bay before plunging down the hill at high speed. It’s open every day from 10am, although it does depend on the weather if you can toboggan on certain days.

Although the resort has many other great activities and features, including some great Blue Flag beaches, Llandudno Ski Slope is a very different way of spending a day of your holiday. Whether you can ski or board, or simply want to hurtle down the hill in a toboggan or tube, it’s fun for all the family.

You’ll find Llandudno Ski Slope just to the north of the town along Wyddfyd Road, near to the Great Orme Mines and Country Park.
