"Loved the secluded location within walking distance of the southern end of Lake Windmere. The cottage was smart and very clean, and well equipped, but we were stumpted on how to adjust the settings on the upmarket oven (a manual in kitchen drawer would have helped). We found that we had to be vigilant about the step in dark slate floor between bedrooms and kitchen/lounge (we used a bit of white cardboard to visually remind ourselves.) Had a great stay at The Bothy, we highly recommend it "

"This is a very well equipped holiday home, with everything you could possibly need. It’s situated in a small, quiet village so would suit people seeking peace and quiet. The situation is very convenient for trips to the Lake District and for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. We loved it."
