Great location for visiting Keswick and walking the fells. Lots of walks from the door and the cottage was a great base to return to. Quiet street, easy parking. Well equipped kitchen, cosy log burner and plenty of space for a family of 4. This was our second visit to this great find of a cottage. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 14 Jan 2024 #### Great mid week break The stay at the cottage was lovely, from sitting infront of the nice warm log burner to waking up to the gorgeous views were remarkable. Great value for money and a great clean cottage with everything you would ever need. Thanks for making our break amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. Thank you. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 3 Apr 2024 #### A fantastic base for the lake district We had a lovely week long stay at Glenderamackin cottage. It was the perfect base for exploring the Central and North lakes, with everything we needed within 20- 30 mins drive. The hard floors made it easy to manage a muddy dog after some big walks, and all the rooms were very comfy. The only small tweak we'd have liked would be to add a full sized indoor broom. Overall an amazing find, and we are keen to come back. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Allison P. 2 Mar 2024 #### Fantastic stay The property was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. The living room was comfortable and cosy. The kitchen had all equipment that you would need and made self catering easy. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were really comfortable. It was in an excellent position. Close driving distance to Keswick and lovely walks straight from the door. We will definitely look to stay again. ##### Allison P. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Samantha W. 25 Mar 2024 #### Brilliant Base Camp Our first trip to North Lakes and have fallen a bit in love. Glenderamackin ticked all our boxes: spacious, modern but still quaint, bike shed, well equipped kitchen, cosy and warm. Also a really great location just off the A66 and a couple of miles from Keswick (lumpy miles if you go by bike). Planning to book same time next year. Keswick Cottages were a joy. Everything was really well explained and when I asked questions by email they replied within 12 hours. ##### Samantha W. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 30 Jun 2024 #### Lovely house in quiet village Me and the doggo had a fab stay here. Cottage is clean and comfortable, had everything I needed and the best views from main bedroom (the second bedroom ain't bad either). Spent most of our indoor time upstairs, reading and contemplating climbing Blencathra. Which we did. Fun trying to spot the cottage from the summit! Keswick Cottages great as ever, have stayed with these folks many times now, first time here. Usually in Keswick - which is a 10 minute drive door to parking away. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 22 Nov 2023 #### Excellent cottage Glenderamakin Cottage is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was perfect for our short break, enabling us to easily visit Keswick, Grasmere and Ambleside. The steps to the front are steep, although level access is available through the back yard. There is no enclosed grassy area for dogs, only the rear yard, the garden is shared and across the rear access drive, but you can exercise dogs along the road at the front. Views from front and back are amazing. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good #### Stuart R. 3 Jul 2023 #### Stay in Threlkeld Overall the cottage was very good, location was spot on for what we wanted. Only issues were the inside of the fridge door was slightly broken so when storing the milk it is tilting slightly. Also, would be good if some basic cooking essentials were provided e.g salt and pepper, more than just one roll of toilet roll. Also maybe helpful to have some hooks on the wall near the front door to hang wet coats, there are some behind the utility door but may also be useful having some near the front of the house. ##### Stuart R. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Emma C. 23 Sept 2024 #### Lovely property, great location This was our first stay at Glenderamackin Cottage, and won't be our last, we are already looking at dates we have off work to get another visit booked. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms had plenty of space. Stunning views from views, especially on an evening when all you could see were hundreds of stars. The location was fab, we walked along the Footpath in front of the house and got onto the Threlkeld to Keswick Trail, which was a fab walk, about 4.5 to 5 miles and then an easy bus ride home after sampling a few beers with the dog. The added bonus if having the little Farm Shop 2 minutes walk from the door was great from fresh milk and bread. The only negative we had really was that the oven wasn't easy to use and to find the right setting took ages as the manual doesn't replicate the dials on the oven, we got there eventually through trial and error....this was a very minor negative though, everything else was great. ##### Emma C. Great having a walk just a couple of hundred meters from the front door! The steps to yhe front door are quite steep and there is quite a bit of (daytime only) traffic to the business centre. ##### Tony K. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 29 Jan 2023 #### Short stay We stayed at Glenderamackin cottage Monday- Friday, a lovely spacious, comfortable accommodation with wonderful views of Blencathra and Clough Head. It’s a perfect location for walking, plenty of routes from the doorstep. The cottage has everything you need. The pub and community cafe are only a short distance away and are very good. We will certainly be booking for a week next time. The team at Keswick Cottages (Rebecca particularly) were very helpful with any queries or help needed. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good #### Paul S., England 22 Oct 2022 #### Clean cosy cottage The cottage location was excellent, 2 mins off A66 but a very quiet location in row of other homes and cottages. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Great modern bathroom with powerful shower, perfect after a long day walking in the rain. Only downside was a slightly uncomfortable bed, and no equipment for the log burners so we didn’t use them. 5 mins drive from Keswick, but also plenty of walks directly from cottage so no need to move the car to enjoy the great fells and trails of the Lake District ##### Paul S. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good #### Karen N. 10 Oct 2022 #### Lovely stay comfortable house Access to the front of the house had very steep stairs so I used the back lane for daily access TV in dining room not working was not programmed but there was a tv in living room so not a problem. Reported and Keswick Cottages remedied issue ##### Karen N. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 26 Sept 2022 #### Lovely house The house was clean, well equipped & modern. It was well located for a short drive to Keswick and had lovely views across the road. The welcome hamper on arrival was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 30 Jul 2022 #### Lovely stay in the Lakes Glenderamakin house is really well equipped and furnished and very comfortable. Further away from Threkeld than I thought but quite easy to get to it and then on the wonderful old railway trail down into Keswick. Very much appreciated the bike store which you don’t often find. Only negative would be the key boxes for house and shed were difficult to get into. And the steps up to the house would suit younger people than us more. Could the owners provide a washing line as pegs were available. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Jane D. 1 Jul 2022 #### Wonderful holiday We had a wonderful holiday staying in Glenderamackin Cottage. We found the cottage to be modern, comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. It was the perfect base for exploring the Lake District. Communication with Keswick Cottages was good every step along the way and they were really helpful when we had a problem during our stay. Thank you!! ##### Jane D. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Eleanor W. 14 Jun 2022 #### Lovely holiday The cottage was well presented, spotlessly clean and lots of modern appliances. Great peaceful location and convenient for driving into Keswick but also for getting around to other parts of the Lake District. Keswick Cottages themselves were very helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would love to stay again next time we are in the area. ##### Eleanor W. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 14 Jun 2022 #### Lovely property in pretty part of the Lake District. We had a great stay at Glenderamackin cottage. The property is a mid terrace but is described as a cottage. The location is good but you do need a car in order to explore the lake district. The property is modern, nicely decorated, furnished and comfortable. The shower is good and plenty of hot water. The wood burner was lovely to use in the evenings. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a basic meal which is handy, if you don't wish to eat out every evening. There are two decent pubs within a short driving distance from the property but we would recommend the White Horse in Scales. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Booking is advised. The property is conveniently situated a few miles out of Keswick which is good as when you get back you appreciate the tranquillity. We had a good holiday and enjoyed exploring the surrounding lakes and towns. We would consider returning at some point. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 14 Jun 2022 #### Family break Peaceful location to stay whilst exploring the Northern Fells. The cottage is well appointed and modern with good parking facilities. Highly recommend.
