"The room we were first allocated was unfortunately next to a number of outside air con units. These were quite noisy and would have kept us awake. However, when I pointed this out to the reception team, we were quickly moved to a quiet room. I was impressed with the quiet, efficient way the staff handled this to ensure our stay was perfect. "A friend and I stayed here as we are walking the Pilgrims Way. A fantastic find. Friendly staff, really nice and cosy rooms, quiet at night. Had dinner in the bar, lovely food and great service. As other reviews say, breakfast was a bit slow, possibly the kitchen not the service staff as they seemed on the ball. Breakfast was v tasty anyway when we did get it. Overall definitely recommend "

"My partner and i stayed here for bank holiday weekend. Where i did a surprise proposal to her, the staff were a great help in setting this up for me and recording it. Every member of staff were so friendly and helpfull. We also ate breakfast twice and dinner here once. Food was great all very tasty and reasonably priced."
