We used the hotel as a base whilst I underwent some tests and procedures at the Royal Victoria infirmary. The staff could not have been more helpful and all in all the quality of our stay was exceptional.
The bedrooms are understated but well-equipped. Our room was spacious and incorporated a substantial ensuite bathroom (possibly made bigger by disability provision). The hotel offers free Wi-Fi this was always up and running.

Modern, well furnished and clean rooms. Great location for local shops, cafes and restaurants and 10 minutes walk to West Jesmond metro station. Great value for money too.

I stayed here for work.
Booked a family room but was changed to an exec room as I was traveling alone. The hotel was very centeral to jesmond, spotlessly clean and staff friendly.
My colleagues room seemed a little more dated so i would recommend you opt for the exec rooms.
Breakfast was included and whilst a few items where missing and not replaced there was a good choice.
Overall i was very impressed.

We only needed a one night stay, but we were made to feel very welcome by the friendly and very helpful staff. I make the Hotel staff down to 4 because of one manager who insisted on making the receptionist check us out when it would have been easier and quicker for him to do it. However the receptionist at check out was wonderful. It was a quiet Saturday night that we stayed and the late duty manager did everything he could to make our welcome and stay as comfortable as possible. We had a great...

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. It's above a bar but there was no noise. Great location. Second time I stayed here - 1st room was a standard double and it was "snug" but fine for me on my own. This time I stayed in a superior and it was massive - have requested the same room when I go back for my 3rd stay in one month's time! Both bathrooms seemed to have been newly refurbished. The pillows are a bit thin and hard so next time I'll chuck my pillows from home in the car with me!

I have stayed in a number of hotels in Newcastle and this was the best stay. The room was spacious with a well equipped mini kitchen and we had prepared 2 good evening meals there. The bed was so comfortable and the location made the hotel quiet which is a change to the noise and sirens throughout the night in my other stays! The Manager's get-together on the Wednesday and Thursday evening of my stay was unexpected and a lovely touch - free drinks and cheese and nibbles for an hour. The staff...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in this beautiful boutique hotel. We booked the room overlooking the Cathedral which was stunning. The room was really large and immaculately designed. The gentleman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. The walk was no more than 10 minutes to the centre.
We were so impressed with this hotel and Durham we would definitely come back.

Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was okay - the full English I felt was a bit small for what I paid but other hot options looked pretty good - would consider that next time and the continental breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.

A very impressive and imposing hotel that's clearly benefited from a multi-million pound revamp in the last year. I was offered a voucher each day for a free pint in return for foregoing daily housekeeping services and I thought this was a nice perk. Breakfasts are of the self-service variety and generally everything was in good supply, although all the croissants had gone occasionally. All in all an excellent base for a stay in Tynemouth, a gem of the North East.
