"Clean room"
Sporting Lodge Inns Middlesbrough
10/10 Excellent
"The staff on arrival and throughout the 1 night stay were lovely and very helpful. The rooms are dated the carpet and soft chair were very old and stained. Could do with the chair removing even putting a hard wipe down one would be preferable. The bed was so comfortable and clean. The leisure facilities were nice and towels provided. The bar was big with pool tables dart board other games. The food was lovely for the money and steak was cooked to perfection. For £15.99 couldn't fault it. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice. For £72 for 2 people including breakfast and £3 parking would definately go back"

Royal Station Hotel

"Over all good place to stay, very convenient for the station. The problem I found was too long a wait for the arrival ,after ordering, of my evening meal."

Best Western The Grand Hotel Hartlepool
10/10 Excellent
"Great location in Hartlepool, which is such a cute town to visit! We stayed here to see a Premier League game up in Sunderland, so the proximity to the train station as well as walkability to local restaurants and marina was great! Room was very spacious, and breakfast the next morning was great, even as someone who is gluten free!"
Maldron Hotel Newcastle

The County Hotel, Newcastle
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel is in a Great location, right opposite the train station and ideally placed for all the shops and bars. Staff were very helpful. Would recommend staying here."
Leonardo Hotel Newcastle Quayside
8/10 Good
"All staff very helpful and friendly. Overall clean and tidy. Room spacious but a couple of issues. Only one plug socket next to the bed and only three in total. The other two were not in convenient locations. No shaver socket which was a major surprise! The hotel does have very limited parking which I guess you have to book. The Baltic car park next door is very expensive and by the hour. Gateshead Quays multi-storey (very new and clean) is a minute walk uphill from the hotel."
