"A once in a lifetime experience that felt like luxury from arrival to departure. The rooms were incredible. We booked one with a private onsen and also used the public onsen. Both were fantastic, and I appreciated the various amenities in both the private rooms and the public onsen area. Dinner was nine courses and even included Wagyu hot pot. Treat yourself and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain, and the total relaxation you will feel."

"An Oasis just 80 kms from Tokyo! The hotel scenery envelopes you in lush trees, waterfalls, and rocks. What a delight! The two different Onsen are equally spectacular, but my favorite was the one with the waterfall. Yes, it is on the pricier end, but if you can make it work in your budget, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Staff are all friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious. We had 3 people, so one of us had to “rough it”on a futon. So, three western beds would have been my first preference! Small detail however, as we had a magnificent time."

"Staff were excellent. They were very helpful and friendly. Hot springs was a good experience. Lakeside meal was a great opportunity to taste a variety of Japanese foods. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Great location for a quiet peaceful break. Courtesy coach was a good method of getting too and from Moto Hakone and to Odawara."

"Pros: - rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor have clear view of Mt Fuji and Lake Ashi if the weather is good - onsens are nice, indoor and outdoor - staff is very nice - they have 3 e-bikes to rent which was our favorite way to get around Cons - pretty old property, musty smell - kind of isolated so if you don't like their dinner you need to figure out a taxi to and fron town, uber is poasible but not giranteed to always get one available - dinner food was only ok"
