The oversized room had more than enough space for three of us plus our luggage. The staff was very warm and friendly. We chose not to have dinner at the hotel but we did visit the French restaurant for breakfast and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. The onsen was also enjoyed. The staff are beyond helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the baths were just what I needed after a long day exploring the region. The restaurant was able to accommodate my gluten-free needs for breakfast and the shuttle bus from Motohakone was great. Very limited options to move around unless you bring a car - access to taxi is very limited: options for food at the hotel are limited but we had dinner one of the nights and it was excellent. The sights and scenery were elite and remarkable. The food service was well put together and efficient. I appreciated that the hotel works with a luggage delivery service and helped make the stay a little more convenient apart from trying to send the luggage to Narita airport the day before we left and they were unable to. The grounds are magnificent and the view to the lake is wonderful. In a nice day (which we had) you can see Fuji mountain clearly from the terrace. The only downsides were the bar with a bit of a gloomy vibe and a lack of a snack shop (as there is nothing open in the evening within walking distance from the hotel).
